Emotion and Metamemory

Gestures and Memory

This experiment investigates the memory processes underlying predictions given for future memory performance, to what extent these can predict the actual memory performance, and whether or not emotional words impose a superiority in the memory performance over neutral ones.

Perceptual Fluency and Recognition Memory

This study aims to investigate how explaining information we are exposed to in our own words affects memory performance. It will also explore the role played by the fluency of the information presented during this process. Throughout the experiment, participants will be shown a series of stories. They will be expected to retell specific sections of these stories in their own words and later recall the stories they watched.
